Calcium Citrate-Malate (Highly bioavailable calcium), Vit D3, Vit K, Magnesium, Boron, Silicone, Ipriflavone. Calcium citrate-malate is a readily-soluble form of calcium equally well-absorbed with or without food. There are many different supplemental forms of calcium, including some very costly ones claiming superior benefit. We find that none are better documented than calcium citrate-malate, which is highly absorbable while simultaneously being safe, well-tolerated, and cost-effective. About 40% more calcium is absorbed from calcium citrate-malate compared to calcium carbonate or milk. Taking calcium in several smaller doses throughout the day as supplied in these tablets produces higher absorption than taking a larger dose all at once. Testing assures exceptionally low lead content. Calcium citrate-malate has been shown to exert numerous benefits in bone health. Inadequate calcium intake is a well-known risk factor for osteoporosis, a progressive bone disease influenced by age, sex, race, exercise, and many other dietary and lifestyle choices. Bone Complete Support is formulated with a two-fold purpose: 1) to help teenagers and young adult women optimize peak bone mass to reduce risk of osteoporosis later in life, and 2) to help slow the rate of bone loss in menopausal women, elderly men and women, and those with a family history of osteoporosis. Highly bioavailable forms of minerals essential for bone health plus synergistic nutrients are included to maximize mineral absorption using the least number of pills. Calcium and vitamin D support bone mineral density, magnesium supports bone strength and remodeling, boron promotes calcium and magnesium balance, vitamin K activates proteins used in bone metabolism, and silicon helps regulate calcium deposition in bone and form collagen. While most forms of silicon are very poorly absorbed, orthosilicic acid is a soluble, readily absorbed and active source. Studies with ipriflavone, an isoflavone-derivative, show it can enhance bone formation and inhibit bone breakdown.
